These very well appointed private rooms have private baths and accommodate up to two to four people. The rooms are separate duplex cabins on the forested hillside at the Bug complex. All have decks and outside tables with views. There are four large windows with vistas that brighten the room.

These hotel-style private rooms include linens, hair dryers, cooling and heating. Housekeeping cleans the room, bathroom and makes beds daily. The rooms lack TV's and phones in order to fit in with the relaxed atmosphere of this rustic resort. Parking and accommodations can require walking up or down hill as much as 500 feet.

Rollaway beds are available in some rooms at an extra $10.00 when allowed.

We have private rooms with shared bath in cabins. These cabins are excellent for families - sold as a full cabin or individually. One side is a queen bed or two twin beds. The other room is a queen bed and a bunk (two singles). These two rooms share a large bathroom in beautiful wooden cabins perched on the forested hillside. These cabins are fully porched with chairs and table outside. Parking and accommodations can require walking up or down hill as much as 500 feet.

Holiday weekends have 2 to 3 day minimum stays. Rollaway beds are not available.

PRICE PER CABIN FOR 2 TO 4 PEOPLE: $40 - $75 plus 10% tax & 1% TBID

Regular rubberized canvas classic Yosemite-style unheated tent cabins over a wood frame with floor & a electric plug/light. Our Tent Cabins are furnished with standard bedding, chairs, and window flaps for ventilation & fans.

The Heated Tent Cabins have nice furnishings, lamp, fans & screen doors. All Tent Cabin guests have access to camping style restrooms, showers, laundry showers and the guest kitchen. The Camping Bathrooms and showers are centrally located at the Bodie building. You can expect a up to a 5 minute walk to the restrooms.

We do suggest bringing a sleeping bag year round when staying in a regualr tent cabin, however, we do place extra comforters & blankets in all of them. Parking and accommodations can require walking up or down hill as much as 500 feet.

Dormitory style private rooms above the camping communal baths with two bunkbeds, one with a full bed on bottom, a desk, lamp, lockers and HVAC. Access to guest kitchen as well. Great option for couples and families looking for an inexpensive indoor option. Bargain for a carful of friends or family. Baths down hall starting in spring.

IN ALL HOSTELLING INTERNATIONAL licensed hostel dorm accommodations you share dormitory accommodations with other backpackers.

We have two cabins that accommodate twelve people each. They have two rooms each with three bunks for six people. Each cabin has modern commercial semi-private showers, sinks and toilets that are used by both rooms. These two cabins are connected with a deck. These usually are assigned for female and male only respectively.

Our third cabin has one large room with six large bunks that accommodate twelve. The baths are commercial, semi-private style. These cabins are usually coed or group only. Parking and accommodations can require walking up or down hill as much as 500 feet.

Starlite House

The Starlite House is between Mariposa & Yosemite National Park in Midpines off Highway 140. It is approximately 45-50 minutes from the Park & 5 minutes from the Merced River Wild & Scenic Area. This property is administered by the Yosemite Bug Rustic Mountain Resort across the valley. This house was hand built in a natural 70's style by a homesteader and has direct access to Highway 140 100 feet away above the house. The owner, family & staff are also located on this property.

There is a small BBQ for briquettes out on the small lawn and an outside view deck with table and chairs. There is a swinging chair off the porch. You can see the large organic garden below the house. There are two bedrooms downstairs, both rooms have one queen and one has a bunk with a small bath between. There is a large bath (jets not included in bathtub) and large living/dining/kitchen area upstairs. There is also a separate In-law with a double bed and a bath. An enclosed porch has a day bed. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking items & equipment.

Great for families or friends getaways where the center of attention is your gathering. Now with free Wi-Fi, Cable TV, with a DVD Player as well. No extra cleaning fees. Housekeeping pickup service daily unless DND sign on door.

Barn Studio

The Barn Studio is above the Starlite House 100 foot direct access to Highway 140 in a similar but simpler setting. It has no yard and is at the parking area. It has a more country style as a loft studio with a kitchen, dining & living area with a sofa. A large bedroom is in the studio with a small adjoining bathroom and bunk room. The kitchen is stocked with utensils and equipment.

Great for a small family or couple. There is a BBQ & picnic table at the studio entrance downstairs and a private deck with tables and chairs. Now with free Wi-Fi, Cable TV, with a DVD player as well. There are either staff or family living or working downstairs in the separate entrance with little noise. No extra cleaning fees. Housekeeping pickup service daily unless DND sign on door.

Sentinel Dome Cabin has two private rooms with bath. One has bath with wheelchair access and the other has hearing impaired setup. Solomon Cabin has 2 private rooms that share a bathroom, for 2 or 4 people. The Cafe at the Bug and the Bodie Meeting Rooms offer disabled access as well.
